Learn how to remove a tripod, selfie stick, person and shadows from a 360° photo using Affinity by Canva.
In this step-by-step tutorial, I show you how to open an equirectangular 360° panorama in Affinity by Canva, enable Equirectangular Live Projection and rotate the panorama to the nadir so the tripod, selfie stick or photographer can be removed much more easily.
I also show you how to use the Lasso Tool and Inpainting to replace unwanted areas and how to return the image to its original equirectangular projection before exporting the complete 360° panorama.

For this tutorial, I use a 360° photo taken with my Insta360 X6. The same method also works with the Insta360 X5, X4 and other 360° cameras, as well as panoramas stitched from mirrorless cameras and fisheye lenses.
The workflow works particularly well on surfaces such as asphalt, grass, sand and concrete. More complex textures may require additional retouching.
