Nintendo Switch 2: Which Games Run in 1080p Handheld Mode?
With the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 (*), many gamers are asking a crucial question: Which existing Nintendo Switch games (*) benefit from the new hardware and now support 1080p resolution in handheld mode?
While the original Switch was limited to 720p in portable mode, the Switch 2 now theoretically allows Full HD (1080p) when undocked – provided the game includes an update or supports dynamic resolution scaling.
I’ve tested some of the most popular titles and compiled a list of games that actually run in 1080p when played in handheld mode on the Switch 2.
