In Pokémon Scarlet (*) and Pokémon Violet (*), you can regularly receive free items, Pokémon, or cosmetic content via the Mystery Gift feature. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to redeem gift codes step by step – and provide a list of all currently active codes.
How to Redeem Gift Codes (Quick Guide)
You do not need a Nintendo Switch (*) Online membership, but you do need an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or LAN) on your Nintendo Switch Console (*). Here’s how:
- Launch Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet
- Open the main menu by pressing X
- Select “Poké Portal”
- Choose “Mystery Gift”
- Select “Get with Code/Password”
- Enter the code exactly as shown – note the substitutions:
- O = 0 (zero)
- I = 1 (one)
💡 Tip: For some content (like the rare Pecha Berry), you’ll need to choose “Check Mystery Gifts” instead of entering a code.
